    Doan Magnesium Survival Fire Starter
    Water Purification Tablets
    Shake powered flashlight
    Granola
    Chocolate (who could ride without chocolate?!?!)
    Map
    Compass
    Strings and knife (they can be used for numerous things!)
    Shock blanket

    Most important…water and more water. I ride with a camel back but also carry a bottle
    Fixed blade knife on belt or saddle
    rain slicker (small fold-able one)
    phone (on your person)
    zip lock bag (my horses will all drink from one)
    identification
    paper and pen
    bee sting swabs and antihistamine
    zip ties
    power bar or something for energy in an emergency…sounds icky but sardines are good for this
    hand warmer packets
    fence tool (way better for cutting wire than plain wire cutters)
