In these 3 hour sessions we will spend 1 hour on the ground and 2 hours riding. These sessions are focused on the groups needs and all tasks can be performed at a beginner, intermediate, and advanced level, so please do not feel intimidated. Safety is #1 with me. We accomplish much and have fun doing it!!!
Some of the tasks we’ll be covering . . .
Ground Work: Developing respect, creating personal space, moving your horse with a light touch, circling with precision, perfecting the side-pass, backing up straight, ground driving with two ropes, side-pass and jumping over barrels, desensitize with tarps, bouncing balls, raincoats, umbrellas, etc.
Riding: Patterns at walk, trot, canter. Weaving through cones, barrels, perfecting the side-pass in the saddle, opening gates, backing through tight spaces, walk, trot poles, low jumps, separating the front end maneuvers from hind end maneuvers. Roll backs, gaits within gaits, correct rein positions, leg positions, loose rein and no rein riding, using the natural power of focus, bareback riding, posting correctly, etc. Organized trail rides.
Group lessons (3 hours) are $45 with a $10 haul in fee.
